What happens to us when our late-capitalist world demands conspicuous consumption and asks us to surrender our autonomy to the artificial algorithms of global tech companies? As AI increasingly encroaches upon and mediates our reality, can we reconnect with our senses and rediscover the raw spontaneity that makes us human? Can we create a sanctuary for genuine connection and infinite potential… when ‘social’ networks and technology push us further away from each other every day?

InTención explores the ideas of space, desire, and what it means to be human and have agency in an age where AI and artificiality are inescapable.

I believe that we forfeit a piece of our humanity when we blindly surrender so much of our lives to our devices. And I also believe that, in a culture that relentlessly commodifies our attention, music is one of the most powerful acts of resistance to push back against alienation and bring us closer together.

The vibe is of a club that’s just bright enough to make out the features of the other people in the room. There are connections. There are almost-connections too. A stolen glance. A flirtatious swing of the hair. A knowing nod. Hips swaying and eyes meeting.

The word “InTención” is meant to convey three ideas: Intention (expressing one’s agency and casting aside one’s objectivity), Tension (the anticipation of what may or may not transpire during the evening), and Intense (overwhelming, almost intoxicating feelings and ideas).
